Dissertation Matters

A thesis is a formal, written report that a student prepares and submits to obtain a bachelor’s degree or higher, based on a research or scientific study. The student’s work is conducted under the supervision of an advisor and sometimes with the consultation of an additional professor. It should be noted that the thesis is the student’s original work, which is affirmed by the student’s signed declaration of authenticity. According to the policy regarding scientific research rights, the material ownership and publication rights of the thesis belong to the college.

To ensure consistency in the appearance of theses at the college, a set of guidelines titled “Thesis Writing Guidelines” has been developed. All students are required to follow these guidelines when preparing their theses. The guidelines provide detailed instructions on the preparation of the thesis, including pagination and page order, font size and type for typing, chapter organization, citation methods, and other essential formatting details. Additionally, recommendations are provided on the conventions for Persian writing style.
