Civil Aviation Technology College

Civil Aviation Technology College is the oldest educational center providing specialized human resources needed for Iran’s aviation industry, having started its activities in 1949.

This college aligns its academic educational programs with the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, while also considering the needs of the aviation industry. Currently, it offers admissions in four main fields: Aircraft Maintenance and Repair, Air Traffic Control, Electronics, and Telecommunications, at both associate and bachelor’s levels.

Additionally, due to the growing demands of the aviation industry, the college offers short-term specialized and in-service training courses approved by the Civil Aviation Organization and other international bodies (ICAO, IATA, etc.).

Objectives:

  1. Contributing to the Training of Specialized Human Resources: Participating in the education and training of specialized personnel needed for the aviation and airport industry in the country.

  2. Providing a Foundation for Addressing Technical and Specialized Higher Education Needs: Creating a suitable foundation to meet the technical and specialized needs of higher education in the specified field.

  3. Utilizing the Country’s Potential Capacities for the Development and Expansion of Aviation Technology: Leveraging the existing potential capacities within the country to develop and expand aviation transport technology.

 

Duties and Authorities:

  • Providing Essential Facilities: Ensuring the necessary facilities to achieve the college’s objectives.
  • Collaboration with Educational and Research Centers: Cooperating with educational and research centers engaged in scientific activities related to aviation and airports to utilize their experiences and expertise.
  • Student Admission and Training: Admitting and training students in fields related to aviation transport technology with the approval of the Higher Education Development Council.
  • Publication and Development: Publishing journals, scientific books, educational booklets, and producing software and computer programs in line with the college’s objectives according to relevant rules and regulations.
  • Organizing Scientific Conferences: Conducting scientific conferences and presenting the college’s scientific achievements in the form of educational workshops while adhering to relevant rules and regulations.
